Domestic worker arrested over alledged murder of ex boss

A domestic worker, aged 27, has been arrested over the death of his ex-boss, Martis Omeri. This was confirmed by the Police Command in Nasarawa State.

The State Police Command in a statement by its spokesman, ASP Rahman Nansel, revealed that the deceased was killed while in his sleep on the night of November 17, 2020, in his home at Navy Estate Karshi Karu Local Government Area.

The deceased, Martis Omeri, was the Deputy chief auditor in the office of the Accountant General of Federation, Abuja.

Rahman Nansel revealed that the suspect had been arrested in his hideout in Abuja and was apprehended by Police Personnel attached to Karshi Division. The capture, according to him, was based on an astounding intelligence of the force.

In his statement, the PPRO revealed that the suspect confessed to sneaking into the deceased’s apartment on November 17 and killing his ex-boss with a piece of wood, resulting in the death of the late Omeri.

Nansel also added that several properties found in the suspect’s apartment belonged to the deceased.

Nansel said, “They include one Infinix phone, laptop, Clothing, pair of shoes, Clipper, Beddings and few other properties.”

The Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa, Bola Longe, has directing the case to the State Criminal and investigation Department, Lafia for proper investigation.
