Politicians have joined other Nigerians to mourn the death of Davido’s son, Ifeanyi, who passed away on Monday.
The little one died as a result of drowning at their home while the parents were away.
Presidential candidates Bola Tinubu, Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar have all expressed their sympathy with Davido and his fiancée Chioma on the loss.
Tinubu tweeted, on Tuesday: “Oluremi and I send our heartfelt and deepest condolences to David, Chioma, and the entire Adeleke family over the tragic loss of their son, Ifeanyi. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. May the Lord grant them the fortitude and strength to deal with this painful tragedy.”
Peter Obi also wrote on Twitter: “I send my sincere condolences to Davido and Chioma, over the death of their son Ifeanyi. I cannot begin to imagine the pains they are going through at the moment. May God grant them healing, strength and comfort in this trying time. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.”
Meanwhile, Atiku, on Facebook, wrote: “My thoughts and prayers are with Davido and Chioma and the Adeleke family at this time. I pray for God to strengthen and comfort them.”
The Governor of Osun state, Adegboyega Oyetola wrote, “On behalf of myself and the people of Osun, I sympathise with Davido, over the death of his son, Ifeanyi.
“I know how painful it is to see a boy we all saw last week bubbling with life to now be referred to in the past.
“I pray God to comfort you and Chioma. Rest assured, that very soon God will bless you both with another son who will live long to fulfill his dreams in life.
“I pray God give you both and your parents the fortitude to bear this painful loss.”
Funke Akindele also reacted to the terrible news. She mourned Ifeanyi with a post on her Instagram page.
