BORIS Johnson’s pregnant girlfriend Carrie Symonds has announced that she has had signs of coronavirus.

Despite keeping away from the infected Prime Minister, the 32-year-old, who falls into the high-risk group, revealed she had spent the past one week in bed.

Last Friday, Boris Johnson tested positive for coronavirus, and spent a week in self-isolation.

Yesterday, seven days after testing positive, he was supposed to exit quarantine in Downing Street but reported that he had prolonged the duration after still suffering from a high temperature.

Ms Symonds, who has been isolating herself away from her family, posted earlier today on Twitter and said

“I’ve spent the past week in bed with the main symptoms of Coronavirus.

“I haven’t needed to be tested and, after seven days of rest, I feel stronger and I’m on the mend.

“Being pregnant with Covid-19 is obviously worrying.”

The pair shared the news of their baby on social media five weeks ago and are due to tie the knot later in the year.

While the coronavirus case in UK has risen to 41,903 with 3,735 new cases, 4,313 fatalities has been recorded.
