Disc Jockey, DJ Obi, has slammed Nollywood actor, singer and politician, Bankole Wellington also known as Banky W, over his defection to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Recall that on Friday, April 1, 2022, Banky W had taken to his Instagram page to announce his defection from MDP to PDP to contest for the House or Representatives (Eti Osa Constituency).
Responding to his announcement, DJ Obi told Banky W to step down and allow serious minded people take charge of the country.
He said the singer is not consistent with his decisions. According to DJ Obi, Banky W is always everywhere trying to change professions and parties.
Dj Obi said the country’s election is not for popularity and should be taken seriously.
“Anywhere breeze blow you dey there.
“Today pastor, tomorrow artist, next tomorrow politician. Next week deliverance ministry, next month new single on the way. ABEG! We need real politicians.
“This is not a popularity contest. We are serious about our country, Nigeria is on the verge of getting on the path of greatness, we need solid men that are willing to loose it all for this nation to work and work well,” he said.
“The work ahead is not for the weak hearts No be now I go talk.
